Castle Farm
Shoreham, West Kent
Castle Farm is a family farm in the Darent Valley between Shoreham and Eynsford, best known for the lavender fields that turn the hillside purple each summer. Its farm shop and coffee cart are open all year, selling the farm's own lavender products, apples, beef and hops, with sunflowers, pumpkins and guided hikes at other times of year.
Highlights
- Lavender in bloom from late June to late July, with field walks, picnics and distillery tours
- Award-winning farm shop and coffee cart, open all year
- Sunflowers in summer and pumpkins and squashes in autumn
- Guided farm hikes and Christmas wreath workshops
Good to know
- The lavender fields can only be entered on a ticketed event, and summer weekends often sell out
- Dogs on leads are welcome on lavender walk events and in the apple orchard, but not in the shop, the picnic field or on guided tours
- Eynsford and Shoreham stations are each about 1.5 miles away, and the Darent Valley Path passes the fields
- Up to two carers go free with a disabled visitor on lavender events
