Nature Tots is a Forest School style session for toddlers and young children, held on Tuesday mornings from 9:45am to 11:45am at Tyland Barn Nature Park and Gardens in Maidstone. The six-week course runs from 3 November to 8 December 2026 and is aimed at families with little ones who want to explore the outdoors. Tyland Barn is the headquarters of Kent Wildlife Trust, a restored 17th-century barn with a small nature park showing off Kent habitats from woodland and wetland to meadow. Pumpkin Moon at its Maidstone farm lets visitors pick their own pumpkins, squash and gourds from over 100 varieties, with wheelbarrows provided to carry them. The farm is open at weekends from 17 to 18 October and on weekdays from 21 to 31 October, with arrival between 10am and 3:30pm. It suits families, groups and anyone wanting a seasonal outing, and fancy dress is welcome.
